Jeff Kirt

Jeff has been doing concrete work for 22 years. Jeff has worked on stamped, exposed, aggregate, and staining concrete. He also has well rounded work experience in patios, foundation walls, driveways, and even countertops. Jeff wanted to expand his art work and then discovered the art of vertical concrete. Jeff has left his fingerprints all over this unique industry, not only through his art, but by creating his own mix used by most people in this profession. His goal was to create the most affordable, effective, and high performing mix. Jeff’s mix was finalized in 2010 and is known to all as Kirtbag. Jeff’s mix has been purchased all across America and Canada. Japan, Poland, and Australia have recently contacted Jeff to ask about Kirtbag’s abilities.

Jeff Kirt is married and lives in Texas. He enjoys golfing and guiding others with their journey in this industry. Jeff lives a simple life. When he’s not traveling to Kirtbag sponsored appearances or discussing Kirtbag to companies throughout the world, he likes to spend the little free time he has with his wife and children. Jeff has always been creative. He was the only person from the crew to successfully catch a fish with a makeshift hook and a string during downtime between jobs. Mike Vernelson

Mike’s career as a habitat artist began when he was only 12 years old building dioramas for taxidermy displays. His extreme attention to detail was noticed and put to test early at a Museum in Ashland, Oregon. Mike learned he had a passion to create rock formations that are found at theme parks, aquariums, and zoos. Mike’s twenty plus years of experience and ability to include new technologies have earned him a strong reputation in this unique industry. Mike possesses the ability to recreate anything found in nature whether it be flowers, trees, animals, fire, water, ice, rock... anything your heart desires. Mike’s goal is to create unique, realistic, long lasting work through very strict standards and a strong work ethic.

Mike lives with his wife, Jasmine, and his daughter, Lily, in the Addirondack Mountains of upstate New York. He is well versed in sculpting, mold making, painting, and overall knowledge in art chemicals/supplies. He has judged numerous competitions and trade shows. Mike has given demonstrations at world and national competitions/seminars. Mike has been independently hired by many companies to lead extravagant art projects, residential home, and pool construction.. Nathan Giffin
Nathan Giffin

Nathan was destined to be a concrete artist. The first day Nathan saw images of this unique art, he was hooked. He had a profound confidence in himself to not only make one of the kind masterpieces but to be the best artist in this new age industry! Nathan’s path was not the easiest. He put in countless hours working a full time job during the day and spending evenings working on his concrete art/designs. After a few years and turning down a promotion, Nathan decided it was time to take his work to the next level. He created a website to help teach others how to carve decorative concrete and show off his talents. This bold move allowed him to be a guest speaker at the World of Concrete event in 2008. Nathan has a strong background in sculpting, carving, stone facings, boulders, forming, faux, wine cellars, and water features. You will NEVER see him create the same piece twice. He makes sure each project is unique.

Nathan will tell you he is a man of faith, hard work, and perseverance. He joined the Marine Corps right out of high school, has a degree in electronic engineering, and describes himself as very handy in numerous forms of work.
